    Designing for Duels was an exercise in modular design and variation.  The challenge laid out by Oxygen was to create costume sets of different looks and feels on top of one consistent body.  To make each character distinct, the costumes were created to change the silhouette and shape of the figure even though the underlying body was exactly the same.  Each costume was then expanded out into a "set" by strategically altering even more details but still adhering to the original theme of the set.  The overall art direction was to adhere to an "inked" graphic novel look with an emphasis on heavy cultural and fantasy influences.
