Throughout history, puppets have been used to enthrall audiences and capture imaginations around the world by depicting epic battles in the heavens and the heroic deeds of legendary warriors.  Following in the tradition of puppet epics such as The Ramayana and the Mahabharata, Mythika Prime is our original interpretation and contribution to this richest of storytelling traditions.  It is a golden opportunity to reinterpret classic concepts through a new lens.  Mythika Prime is a fantastic world filled with ancient gods, heroic knights, warrior princesses, scheming sorcerers and war golems.

The visual DNA is a combination of the lush and ornamented craftsmanship of Wayang shadow puppets infused with the dynamic and graphic shapes of modern animation.  Mythika Prime will be an ongoing original IP and multimedia project from Magnus Rex.  It is our goal to add to this world through a variety of mediums including illustrations, storybooks and short animated films.

When designing characters it's always important to see what they look like in relationship to each other and just alone.  A line-up is a great tool to make sure the entire cast is a cohesive whole and not a collection of parts.
