A Hero Awakens is a 3D animated short film set in modern China, created to promote the League of Legends premium Porcelain skin line for Riot's Lunar New Year event.​

​

The challenge was blending classic Chinese aesthetics with modern flair. Partnering with BigBigSun, a leading Chinese animation studio, we told the story of Ezreal, a fan-favorite Champion, as he discovers a magical artifact in China.

Inspired by The Mummy, the film delivers high adventure and excitement, becoming the centerpiece of a multimedia campaign that generated over $100 million in sales for the epic Lunar New Year event.
